Student Mentoring

Supporting you through university

Going to university can be an amazing experience. It can also be pretty daunting, leaving home for the first time, having to deal with finances, study and making new friends, often in a new city.  While it can be exciting and a great time to discover who you are, for many it can be overwhelming. It can leave us anxious and isolated and feeling like we're in over our heads or can't cope.

Mentoring is different from straightforward counselling as it can encompass all aspects of university life. It can help you with mental health such as social anxiety, depression and overwhelm. But is also about encouraging and advising on how to navigate university, such as study skills, time management and good self care.

Mentoring can help support you through university and even help you prepare for what comes next.

I recommend students start with weekly mentoring sessions to establish a relationship but then move to fortnightly or monthly sessions depending on the level of support that feels right for you.
